Like the primordial soup itself Ritzenhoff cooks glass porridge – a mixture made out of glass sand, calcined soda, calcium carbonate, potash and calcium nitrate at a temperature of approximately 1.500 degrees celsius. The liquid glass is portioned into drops and is shaped during the cooling process – pressed into stems, blown into glass cups, laser-cut, melted together.
From these molten liquid drops, high quality crystal glass is produced within mintues. Innovative methods like, for example, rim processing using a laser or through the traditional process of „blowing and grinding“, including an integrated quality control, complete the automatic production.
As the only glass manufacturer in Europe, we offer everything needed for the development and production of a glass all in one. We manufacture in Germany in one of the most modern glass works in Europe. With our partially self-developed high-tech machinery combined with the expertise of our experienced staff, our customers are guaranteed excellent Ritzenhoff quality with each and every glass.
We do more than simply produce high quality in high quantity: from a selection of 30.000 glasses per year, we also produce exclusive forms.
